Sunday is family day. True enough, I have spent it with family. We went to a popular theme park outside Metro Manila this morning. I also had some friends join us for additional company. We spent the entire day there trying rides of various kinds. We had so much fun but as much as I want to write a detailed blog about it, I can’t. I am exhausted and sleepy already. I’ll just reserve that for another day.
If there’s one thing that’s a bit inconvenient about going out, it’s commuting. But don’t get me wrong. I have never hated commuting. In fact, I used to do a lot of commuting to and from university back when I was in college. And though I didn’t get to own or ride in a chevy impala nor a rolls-royce phantom, I had the liberty of exploring the metropolis like it was my second home. (The reviews for the current model of these cars I saw at TheCarConnection.com were worth checking-out.) I became familiar with the ins and outs of the city and I thought my transformation from a promdi (town lass) to a street-smart girl was priceless. But I digress.

Living in Metro Manila where traffic is a common scenario has made cars a second priority among city dwellers.Well, that’s aside from the high cost of living, of course. But I still believe having a car is a necessity in this part of the Philippines, what with the added safety, protection, convenience, flexibility, accessibility and speed it can give you. This is particularly true if you belong to two households like I do. Our new home in Cavite and our residence here in Manila necessitate me to travel more often than usual. Which makes me wonder if buying a mitsubishi eclipse impulsively could answer my need for speed or would just add to my monetary dillemas (hello credit card debts and mortgages!). Methinks I should just continue commuting and keep my money for future use. Not that I have a lot, duh.
