This month is the start of our so-called ‘fund-raising’ for the home improvement we’re planning for our house in Cavite. Just this morning, my brother remitted some money to me for that project and I can’t be more grateful. Mom is arriving sometime in May together with my little sister and we only have a few months to prepare. There is so much that needs to be done in the house but I’m confident we can beat the deadline.
First, we need to get water and electricity. The water installation, according to the Water District staff I talked to during my last visit to the village, will resume sometime in March. He said the contractor has detected some pipe leakage that needs to be fixed. I’m okay with that. It only means they’re doing their job well. For now, I’ll just shop for some discount faucets.
About the electricity, I was advised to get in touch with Meralco. I plan to visit their office in Trece Martirez City soon to submit requirements for the power installation. I am really excited about this home improvement thingie. I wish I had more than enough resources so I can buy whatever I want for our house, soon to be home. But I’m thankful God continues to provide us with the essential stuff we need. I know we just have to be patient and soon our prayer requests will be heard.
