Just when you thought you'd be in for a restful day at home because it was a holiday, you learned that you have to report to the office. How bad could it be? Not so much if you love your work and you enjoy working with your officemates. But if it's the other way around, you're bound to be grumpy all day.
While holiday presents a perfect opportunity to just stay in the house and bond with your family, there are times when you have to use the holiday and go out of your way to attend to your professional duties. I'm thankful that even though I always end up working on holidays, I still get to make up for the lost time by spending the night with my loved ones over a good dinner or by watching a nice flick together.
Just like today which is a special non-working day here in the Philippines. Instead of waking up late, I got up early and went to the office because we were in-charge of a very important event, which turned out successful by the way. I've no regrets, though as I love my work and I enjoy working with my officemates who are all fun and nice people. :)
