They say the essence of a woman is her capacity to bear children. Does that mean a woman is useless if she won’t be able to conceive a child in her womb? But what if it is her choice not to reproduce and have a family? Will men abhor her to the point of damnation? Will society look at her in a discriminating way such that she’d wish she didn't belong in it?

Motherhood changes a lot in a woman. From being irresponsible, it can transform a woman into the most dependable and nurturing of human being. Normally, the changes are positive and are well-appreciated by her family. Maidenhood, on the other hand, usually unleashes the negative side of a woman. From being a caring person, she could turn into an unreasonably sensitive, stiff and narrow-minded old maid. But then for some, this is a case-to-case basis.

Another friend of mine will turn into a mother next month. She is very excited about it and I can see the sparkle in her eyes whenever we’d bump into each other. Her positive vibes are infectious, especially that they’re expecting a boy. I’d love to offer something to her newborn. I’m thinking of getting him a baby banz. It’s always the perfect gift for babies and children especially when they are traveling out of town or just brought to the park for their daily dose of sunshine.
