I have always liked the idea of having siblings. For me, siblings are like weather, sometimes you love them, sometimes you don't. Sometimes you wish you never had them, sometimes you treat them more special than your bestfriend. Except for my Superfriend who is an only child, I don't remember anyone I know who has no siblings to hate and love at the same time.
I have three siblings (two girls and a boy) and for some reasons, I have made it a point to have a healthy relationship with them no matter how impatient or disrespectful they get sometimes. It must be due to the fact that I'm the eldest and it is expected of me to give way whenever possible. Or perhaps, it's because I just want a big and happy family more than anything else.

Today is our bunso's birthday. Her name is Joulydie and she's the most charming (and the smartest according to our parents--I smell favoritism here) among us four. She's just turned 15 and is doing good at school. I'm glad that despite our distance, she never fails to send her love to us. Whenever she has cellphone load, she would initiate a conversation through text. Whenever she has expenses at school, she would text me to ask for money to my utter annoyance (just kidding!).
To Oday (our bunso's nickname), I'd like you to know that your Ate Edel loves you so much and will do everything to see you graduate from college. I may not be showy about how I admire you for being a good daughter and a hard working high school student, but believe me when I tell you that I'm proud of you and your achievements. Keep the faith and the determination to succeed and I know you'll go places in the very near future. Happy, happy birthday and may God continue to bless and keep you! :)
