Not all fruits are created equal. The pineapple is one of the most nutritious fruits we have today. It's no wonder people has started calling it the superfruit. Dole, the world's largest producer and marketer of fresh fruits and vegetables, has shown its advocacy for healthy living during its My Superfruit Day held at the Music Hall of Mall of Asia in Pasay City on May 7. This celebration of wellnes, freshness and fun was attended by hundreds of people.

There were fruit costume contest for kids and adults, parade that showcased different local festivals (Higantes, Maskara and Panagbenga, among others), dance numbers from various local dance groups and a program hosted by celebrities Tuesday Vargas and Jon Avila. The launch was a whole day activity but was cut short during the night by the coming typhoon Bebeng. Still, it was a success and is bound to be an annual event according to Dole Philippines.
