Medical jobs are one of the most in-demand today. We can attribute this to societies that put a high premium on not just healthcare but quality healthcare. Filipino medical professionals are lucky to be sought-after by the biggest hospitals and medical institutions in many parts of the world. Not only does it affirm the quality of medical education here in the Philippines but also the global competitiveness of our medical workers.

Almost all of us have friends or family who is a medical professional. It's just sad that the medical professionals we have here continuously grow but the number of jobs abroad don't. I know of a lot of nursing graduates who couldn't even land a job in their land. Normally, they would just volunteer their services instead of getting paid for them. You can see them everywhere wearing medical scrub uniforms sourced from the best scrubs stores around.

I must say that medical scrubs look good on them but somehow it reminds me of the scarcity of opportunities for them in their own country. I just hope that opportunities abroad would grow dramatically this new year and our young and vibrant medical professionals could grab them.
