As breadwinner, I juggle two jobs (one full time and one part-time) to increase and stabilize our household income. But this post isn't about my role in the family at present. It's about a juice drink called Minute Maid Pulpy Orange that's been my refreshing companion in times of exhaustion from work and from anything that's stress-inducing in this busy life I lead.
I can still vividly remember the day I drank my first bottle of Minute Maid Pulpy Orange. It was after my night duty at my part-time work. It was already half-past midnight and I was dead tired already because we had a big function in the resto. I had dinner early so you can imagine my hunger after working for several hours attending to guests.

What I did was I stopped by Mini Stop, which is a few steps away from where I live, and grab a quick bite to appease my grumbling stomach. I bought a bottle of Minute Maid Pulpy Orange and a kariman and sat in the only provided long bench inside the store. After a few sips of the real fruit juice drink, I suddenly felt refreshed. It was amazing how Minute Maid could recharge me that easy. I remember playing with the juicy pulps inside my mouth and I'd rest for a while by taking a bite of the kariman. At that very moment, the relief Minute Maid gave me was priceless. I was so refreshed I forgot I just came from work.

From that day on, Minute Maid has been my top choice of drink when I feel down, when I'm plain lethargic and need some perking up, when I'm having a hard time fixing my family's monthly budget or whenever I need to grab a quick bite from our friendly, neighborhood convenience store after work. There was even one time I bought a dozen bottles of Minute Maid for a week's supply of beverage during lunch in the office (my day job). I call that the Minute Maid effect. As I've said, Minute Maid has been my refreshing companion for months now. It has never let me down no matter how enjoyable or difficult the situation I may be. The fact that I get less than 50 calories from fat per bottle is a bonus since I'm trying my best to lose weight.

In this fast-paced world we live in, sometimes we have to slow down to be happy and to better appreciate the things around us. They may be simple or complicated, beautiful or unpleasing to the naked eye, but still, we never know how much happiness it could give us. It could be that new dress you have long forgotten to wear or that friend of yours that you have been longing to see for years or just a glimpse of an old photo that stores tons of memories of your happy childhood. Sometimes, even the thought that we're alive and breathing could be a source of momentary joy deep within our heart. Like a refreshing Minute Maid that's sure to lighten up anyone's mood anytime of the day, the things that matter most are just lying in the corner waiting to be tapped to serve their very purpose. We just have to listen to what our heart says and wants. And like a refreshing Minute Maid that's full of natural, juicy pulps, we just have to be ourselves in weaving happy memories, appreciating life and working to be the best that we can be.
