I just love to eat. My love affair with food transcends space, distance and time. I have always enjoyed eating, may it be home-cooked meals or fancy restaurant dishes. I am never a picky eater. I eat not only when my tummy grumbles but whenever I feel like eating. You can just imagine how much food I've eaten all these years. That's why I find it quite hard to achieve my ideal weight. Because eating is such a pleasurable, sometimes heavenly, personal activity for me.

my all-time fave Krispy Kreme doughnut, New York cheesecake flavor
I feel that my love for eating is as natural a part of my existence as the air that I breathe and the urge to answer the call of nature. There are days when I'd wake up and crave for a particular food. I'd go out of my way to get myself the food I crave for no matter how difficult or impossible it is. In the end, my food loving self always wins.
My food preferences are simple, very much like my personality. I don't crave for fancy dishes (they're expensive after all), I just crave for some comfort food that just the mere thought of them can put a smile on my face.
Right now, I'm having food cravings again. Top on my list are the katsudon at SM Supermarket, KFC Italian Roma, the dumplings with Hainanese rice from Pao Tsin, the flavorful carbonara with chicken at A Veneto, the delicious siomai of Siomai House, Jollibee Spaghetti, the rice toppings at Magic Wok, Krispy Kreme doughnuts (New York cheesecake flavor!), Dairy Queen milk shake and my favorite home-cooked meals such as ginisang munggo (sauteed mung beans), nilagang baboy (pork stew with fresh vegetables), ginataang sitaw at kalabasa (string beans and squash in coconut milk), adobong pusit (squid adobo), salted duck egg with lots of tomatoes and sauteed corned beef with potatoes. I can go on talking about my food cravings and my favorite food for days on end. That's how much I love pampering my tummy.
I really wanna go to Mall of Asia tonight to eat some, if not all, of them.
I also would like to have buffet dinner at Cabalen again. Oh, food cravings. If only I had rooms in my stomach for all of them. And if only I didn't get fat easily.
For me, more than pleasing my taste buds and my tummy, eating is about appreciating good food and nourishing the soul while I'm on it. :)
