I first read the term post flooded depression (PFD) from Chuvaness.com (I'm a silent fan!) and can very well relate to it. I was never badly affected by Typhoon Ondoy that hit Metro Manila a few weeks ago but somehow, I get scared easily at the mere thought of heavy rains or typhoons. Our house got flooded knee-deep during the onset of the typhoon so yeah, I think I'm having a sort of post flooded depression as well. What a term!
Hay, watching and reading the news makes me sad. If I were rich, I would donate a large sum to NGOs working to help Typhoon Pepeng victims that caused massive landslides and flash floods in Northern Luzon. I am limited to volunteer works, which was exactly what my officemates and I did yesterday afternoon in MalacaƱang. We were stationed at the clothing section. We helped repacked undies for kids. That was my third time to do volunteer works for the typhoon victims. The first one was in Taguig and the recipient was the evacuees in Aguho Elementary School in Pateros.
I hope my countrymen who were badly affected by these acts of nature recover soon, with the help of the government, the NGOs and themselves.
