Edwin and I celebrated our fifth anniversary as couple yesterday through a dinner at Century Park Hotel in Malate. We availed of the dinner buffet and ate to our heart's content. We spent the night enjoying a wide variety of dishes, from Chinese and Japanese food to American and Mediterranian cuisine. You really can never go wrong with hotel buffets. They may be a bit pricey but for special (and momentous) occasions like that, nothing should be deemed too expensive.

It was my first time to visit Century Park Hotel. It is just beside SM Malate and Harrison Plaza (the shopping center). The hotel looked old outside but once we entered, it was like we were transported to a different place. It sure had the feel of a five-star hotel. The lobby alone was elegant, with a grand staircase to boot.

I saw a few restaurants surrounding the lobby. There is even a cafe in the middle with live music from an eight-piece orchestra to entertain the guests.Cafe in the Park, the restaurant where we had our dinner, is located at the left side from the spacious lobby.

Century Park's Cafe in the Park (if that's still its name) is sentimental to me... that's where my Papa used to bring us when we were kids during special occasions...

@Between Bites: Awww. That's very thoughtful (and tasteful) of your Papa. :)
