Our weekend in Cebu was a blast. The highlight of our trip was Yves and Merfe's wedding which was both solemn and festive at the same time. Yves looked neat in his Barong Tagalog and Merfe was stunning in her wedding gown. (I liked her queenly hair style with matching crown!) Their parents were gleaming with pride and joy. The positive vibes inside the church and at the reception were infectious.
We arrived at the Our Lady of Sacred Heart Parish tad early (a different wedding was still ongoing!) so we opted to stay for a couple of minutes inside Tap's car. The wedding ceremony took longer than I expected. As secondary sponsor, I was assigned to the Christian wedding symbol called veil. It was the groom's priest cousin who officiated the wedding mass.

The reception was held at Montebello Villa Hotel. It was a laidback place but the facilities were A-okay, ideal for travelers who really want to relax and keep themselves away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Roger, the gay host, made the reception program lively and fun with his wits and punchlines. He was very entertaining we didn't notice the passing of time. We feasted on good buffet food. Camera shutters didn't stop clicking, even I felt like a celebrity.
The wedding was well-organized, from the exchange of wedding vows at the church to the reception at the hotel. The newlyweds were the happiest people on earth during those moments. I saw that in their sparkling eyes and the way they thanked everybody who showed up to witness their union.
Congratulations and best wishes to our friends Yves and Merfe! May God bless your marriage always! You guys rock and we wish you're relationship as husband and wife become rock solid! We love you. :)
