I'm the type of person who is fond of accumulating new stuff. I just buy whatever I think I could use in the future, keep them in one place and eventually forget about using them. It could be just about anything, from clothes and bags to home decors and electronic gadgets. I'd plan for the right occasion when these new items could be most appreciated but for some reasons, the right occasion wouldn't come.
Just the other day, I woke up feeling a bit hyper and wanted to give my boring office outfit a makeover by changing my bag. Suddenly, I started fixing myself and by sheer instinct, my vision turned to a new bag hanging on the wall. It was brand new and I realized I haven't used it yet, not even once. It was still wrapped in a plastic cover, which was already accumulating dust. I remembered I bought the bag in one of my Baguio trips and I had planned to use it when I go to an out-of-town seminar or an important social gathering. No event of those kinds were held.

I did not waste time. I grabbed and unwrapped the bag. It didn't matter anymore that my hands got dirty from the dust in the process. All I wanted that time was to use it. And I did. I brought it to the office and my officemates liked it. It was appreciated, but not in the manner and venue I expected it would be. But then, I guess what matters most is the fact that the bag saw the light of day and it has served its very purpose. And it made me happy.
Does the same scenario I described above happen to you? How do you deal with it?
