The Long Weekend That Passed

Posted by edelweiza in , ,

The recent long weekend was fun but far from relaxing. Friday night was spent doing overtime work. That was the last from a series of events that our office wholeheartedly obliged to take charge of. The next morning, I woke up a little late but had to get up to report to my part-time job. LCDTM had guests for lunch and yours truly was the tour guide for the day.

In the afternoon, Superfriend and I met up at SM Manila before heading to the Belo event (this is an entirely different post). We had merienda at Greenwich and were supposed to watch Wall-E but lacked time. Before we knew it, it was already 5:30 p.m. and the Belo event would start at six. We hailed a cab and minutes later, got to the venue just in time for the opening program. Dr. Hayden Kho, Jr. was gorgeous and friendly.

On Sunday, Edwin and I heard the 10:00 a.m. mass at St. Jude Shrine and had lunch together. At 4:00 p.m., we had a date (long overdue) at SM Megamall. We splurge a little and had a food trip. We had a great time. We went home late and slept later.

The next morning, I got up feeling tired from lack of sleep. I took a bath at past 2:00 p.m., fixed myself and helped Albie with her grad school requirement. The breezy night of Monday saw me working again at LCDTM attending to the needs of a group of five guests. I went home late and slept later as usual.

Right now, I'm still lethargic but has to be in the office in an hour, otherwise my vacation leave credits will be doomed. I know it's hard but I will try my best to be productive today amidst the temptation of blogging and other online forms of leisure. God help me.

This last weekend was fine for me. I got to meet some of my college classmates. We had a great time catching up at Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf in Trinoma.

Then afterwards I just slept like a log.

Di bale, edelweiza, may isa pang kasunod na long weekend! Ease up a bit on the workload, ok?

:)
