One Saturday morning, Edel woke up feeling the urge to cook breakfast. This is unusual because she has survived hundreds of mornings without cooking one for her nor for her siblings. In fact, on ordinary days they would just buy breakfast fares from the bakeshops and eateries nearby. But this time around, she was determined. And so, she rummaged through the grocery bag standing at the corner of their tiny room and looked for whatever she needed. She wanted something that warms the stomach and is reminiscent of home. She decided to cook some chicken macaroni soup.
She took all the dry ingredients she needed to the dirty kitchen.

She also got some chicken strips and eggs from the refrigerator. She started cooking in no time. She was eager to replicate her mother's chicken macaroni soup, which she was sure her siblings would love. She had faith in herself. She has proven a lot of times that she can cook. She knew she would deliver.
Several hand and ladle motions later, the chicken macaroni soup was ready.

She did not have to awaken his siblings from slumber as they were up already upon hearing the noise in the dirty kitchen, something that she did intentionally. The three partook of the creamy soup (which was a meal in itself) with much gusto. Everyone was happy.
