PRC June 2008 Nursing Board Exam Results Get Released Today

Posted by edelweiza in , ,

Pinoy nurses are in high demand abroad. In fact, they are the most preferred health professionals by medical institutions around the world. We, Filipinos, take pride in the professionalism and dedication of our Pinoy nurses. We believe in them and we support them to the hilt.

Last June 2008, 64,459 Pinoy nursing graduates took the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Nursing Board Exam. Early this morning, PRC released the exam results with 27,765 passers, roughly 43.07 percent of the total number that took the exam.

Below are the 10 qualifiers with the highest grades:

1. Aira Therese Salamanca Javier (86%; University of Sto. Thomas)
2. Alrin Flores Falgui (85.80%, Far Eastern University)
3. Kristine Maravilla Mendoza (85.60%, Remedios Trinidad Romualdez
Memorial School)
4. Joanna Jacob Quirante (85.60%; UST)
5. Ana Rica Chan Gutierrez, (85.40%, University of Sto. Tomas)
6. Dalfon Silvio Babular Navaja (85.40%, Cebu Institute of Technology)
7. Maria Alyssa Yee Policarpoio, (85.40%; University of Sto. Tomas)
8. Aileen Grace Yu Sotyco, (85.40%, University of Sto. Tomas)
9. Michelle Cruz Amoroso, (85.20%, University of the Philippines-Manila)
10. Ma. Regina Basa Ang, (85.20 %, Our Lady of Fatima University-Valenzuela)

I’m glad that one of the people who got the highest grades came from my school. I’m also happy that a friend from Bohol who graduated from Cebu Normal University was able to make it, too.

Congratulations to our new batch of Pinoy nurses! Mabuhay kayo!

isn't that the low percent of passing students indicate a declining standard for Nursing here in Philippines? Wla lang..kasi yung ibang school bigla nalang may ino-offer na Nursing sa college nila..isn't that weird??

@dyemeyd: you have a point there, but, could it also be an indication that they(the PRC) are becoming more strict in their standards so that only competitive and qualified nurses come out?
