When someone gets into trouble or is experiencing a very difficult problem, he tends to seek intervention from God. We all need intervention at some points in our lives. It only shows that we really can’t exist alone. The different circumstances that we find ourselves in and the consequences from the actions and decisions we make usually require us to get help from others. This help comes in many forms.
One of the forms of intervention I know is when someone got into drugs and wanted to get treated. Rehabilitation comes to mind when talking about drug addicts who want to change themselves for the better.
In the Philippines, there are only a few rehabilitation centers available. This is sad because the drug users and addicts in the country continue to grow in number. If you come from a well-off family and need rehabilitation from drugs, they might send you to a private institution with good interventionists. These professionals have a proven track record in handling people with drug-related problems. Obviously, knowing how to choose an interventionist will greatly help in your fast rehabilitation.
You really can’t tell when you would need help. But one thing remains, it is only us who can make or break our future. It’s just a matter of choosing the right thing for ourselves and being accountable to our actions.
