Basyang (with international name Conson) is the name of the typhoon that hit Manila and other parts of Luzon last night. It was characterized by very strong winds and heavy rains, the kind that could easily strip the roof off houses. And it did. It’s all in the news today.

Our Cavite home wasn’t spared from this grave weather condition. The roof on one side of our house was stripped off last night. My parents weren’t able to sleep because they were afraid things would get worse. Good thing it didn’t. I take it against the house developer. Instead of securing our side roof with the appropriate material, they just remedied it with some scrap galvanized iron sheet. I already complained about it before but they told me it will be fixed once the houses of our two neighbors (on the both sides of our house) get erected. The big question is, WHEN? It’s rainy season now and we need to secure our side roof.

I called up my mom a while ago and she said she has just spoken with the subdivision engineer. He said they will be fixing our roof as soon as possible. I hope he delivers on his promise. We need his help badly.

I hope and pray this won’t happen again to our house in the future. This is serious. If it’s just a webhosting problem, it can be solved easily by a good webhost provider, as recommended by a HostMonster Review. I’m going home this weekend (change of original plan) to get other necessary repairs done. God help us.

I hope the developer fixes the problem soon. Grabe talaga si Basyang, 2nd typhoon pa lang and she took us all by surprise.

@Badet: correct, even we here in manila got affected. in fairness to the developer of our cavite home, they sent people to repair our roof immediately. :)
