Shoe Lover in the Making

Posted by edelweiza in , , , ,

I really think I'm fast-becoming a shoe lover. And I hate love it. I find it odd though because I have ugly feet. They're dry and wide. The index fingers are shorter by an inch than the rest. How can I show them off if they look weird? No matter how pretty my shoes are, the feet that wear them are hideous. But it seems that, over the years, no one has ever noticed of their imperfection. Am I just getting lucky? Or do I just know how to match my feet with the right shoes? I think I'm both. And so my love affair with shoes continues to grow.

Last weekend, I was able to get myself six pairs of shoes/sandals from SM Dept. Store. I was so proud of myself for having been able to snatch them off the shelves at marked down prices. Last sizes are usually sold at a discounted rate. (You didn't know that, did you?) I was so glad they were my size. It didn't matter if they had been on display for several weeks and that a lot of girls had tried them on already, so long as they were in good condition I was okay. Last night, another pair was added to my shoe rack. Which made me think that I'm a shoe lover in the making, hence, this post.

However, as a breadwinner, I know I have to limit my spending on shoes. I cannot just shop for shoes impulsively. I cannot just pick and buy whatever looks good on my feet. I just cannot. Because it could strain my monthly budget, something I never wanted to happen. But....I really enjoy staring at shoes and trying them on. And buying them if I had the money. Well, I guess this is another test of willpower for me. Right, I just need to be disciplined enough to not give in easily to a sudden urge to buy a new pair of shoes.

Are you a shoe lover? What advice can you give to shoe lovers in the making like me?
