I’ve been consuming sweets in large portions lately and I’m a bit worried that my health will suffer big time in the long run. Talk about tonsillitis, diabetes and other diseases related to an over consumption of sugar. I know I'm not getting any younger and hence, I should take care of my health. But I just can’t help it when I am in front of sweets of any kind, may it be a candy, a chocolate bar, a cup of ice cream or just plain desserts. I think I got my sweet tooth from my mom. She used to tell me that when she was still young and single, she’d buy mint candies (read: Stork and Snowbear) to pair with her cigarettes. Yes, my mom smokes and I can’t make her stop. But that’s another story.
Have you tried buying candies in bulk? Isn’t it cheaper than going retail and purchase by the piece? I asked because I plan to go candy shopping one of these days, just in time for the Halloween when kids go from one house to another to do the traditional trick or treating. If I were a child today, you’d see me leading my small circle of friends in preparing for this fun activity.
A while ago, I came across a bulk candy and snacks store online called Sugar Stand that sells a wide variety of candies, chocolates and other sweet goodies. There, you can have a sugar overload just by looking at the photos of candies on display. It was my first time to see an online candy store and I’m quite impressed. I also liked the website’s candy-themed header that reminds me of my childhood years when all kinds of candy were sold one penny a piece. There’s really nothing more colorful and fun than a child’s life.
