Tips on Laptop Maintenance

Posted by edelweiza in , , , , , ,

My first laptop, which I bought more than a year ago, is still as sturdy and functional as the day I first laid my hands on it. Its name is Hardy. What's in the name, you might ask. Actually, the first few months I spent with my first laptop were difficult. I had a hard time installing the drivers needed to breathe life into it. Some of the drivers were incompatible to the laptop despite the fact that we all got them from the laptop brand's website. No matter what I did, the drivers wouldn't function and the laptop remained lifeless (and useless). And so I coined the name Hardy for it.

It was a good thing I had Edwin to fix the seemingly insurmountable problem. My boyfriend, a computer expert, stopped at nothing to make the laptop function as it should be. When it did function, the second problem I encountered with it revolved around internet security. One time my laptop crushed as it had been attacked by a horrible set of viruses that came mostly from the internet. Initially, no amount of repair could fix it. Edwin had to use anti-spyware and anti-malware to save my laptop from total destruction.

Now, I regularly have my laptop's anti-virus updated for maximum protection. It's hard to see Hardy sick. It's harder to live without it. I am grateful to Edwin for his constant help all this time. Hardy wouldn't last this long if not for him and his internet security tools and devices.
