Google has just updated page ranks of websites last June 23 and Philippine Travel Promos got a PR1. Not bad since I never got around to exchanging links with other sites. I was too lazy to do that. I just relied heavily on SEO. After all, I created the blog to make money and of course, to help promote the Philippines to the world.
If you noticed, Google has been updating page ranks more frequently this year. I don't have any clear idea as to the rationale behind that. It could be that Google is working on changing its algorithm or something to that effect. It could be also that Google is trying doubly hard to figure out who among us put a lot of 'dofollow' links in our sites for varied purposes. Whatever it is, I hope Google remains fair and just when dealing with the page ranks of our blogs.
On a related note, I'm quite sad my food blog lost its PR1 during this latest update. The only consolation I got is that this blog, 'The Life of a Breadwinner,' has retained its old page rank of 3. Also, my budget shopping blog and my current events blog were both up by 1 point (from PR1s to PR2s!) so I guess there's really not much to be sad about. After all, and as what I always tell myself, no matter what happens, blogging continues!
