Several members of the media and a a few bloggers got invited to cover the event. Aside from the usual company presentations and speeches, DOH Sec. Francisco Duque, Jr. sent a video message expressing appreciation of GSK's full support in the vigorous health efforts of the government through its present undertaking.

I hope this corporate initiative would inspire other pharmaceutical companies to move in the same direction and pave the way for the mutually beneficial implementation of Republic Act No. 9052 a.k.a. the Cheaper Medicines Law.

Filipinos badly need cheap and affordable medicines to feel better and do more in life. I hope many of our countrymen could avail of these medicines.

P.S. Thanks to GSK and Campaigns and Greys for the invite. It was a very informative event.
