...seen working their asses off to provide for the tuition, uniform, school supplies and other school-related expenses of their student-dependents. That is exactly what I'm preoccupied with right now. This school year, my younger brother will be on his fourth year in college. Yay, he'll be a graduate next year. Hopefully, one down and two to go.
This school year, my younger sister will be a freshman in college. She'll be studying in the same school where my younger brother is. You bet, it's a state university. And I'm proud because I, too, was a product of a state university (clue: premier state university in the Philippines).
This school year, my other younger sister (our youngest) will be a third year high school student. She studies and lives with my parents in the province. She does well in school and I have high hopes she'll graduate with flying colors in due time.
While providing everything for a family is a gargantuan task, I take the challenge with vigor and zeal. I take delight in the fact that I get to share my blessings to my family and keep the flame of love burning in my heart. I guess it's the fulfillment I get from doing this kind of thing that keeps me going.
When a new school year starts, the breadwinner in me becomes more enthusiastic. Any breadwinner out there with a related story?
